In exploring regions of tension throughout the world, I use my camera to serve a dual purpose. One is to represent the
beauty of nations and cultures often misunderstood in Western society. The other is to represent the human effects of war,
politics, and economic policies.
Through the information provided by the news-media, it is easy to become disconnected from the real-life outcomes
of world affairs. It is a goal of mine to humanize the abstractions often created by the nature of media in our shrinking
world.
